MAIN ACTIVITIES

As soon as it was established on February 2nd, 1998,  Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA) has  clearly seen its responsibility before the people and society for all works related to planning and urban development management in Vietnam. VUPDA has carried out many important works, especially consulting, criticism and social assessment.

The Association has closely followed and well developed the annual goals and activities of the Association. The operation apparatus of the Association from the Central to the local associations has always been consolidated, expanded and perfected. VUPDA has actively participated in the Planning – Architectural Professional Councils, the Planning Science Council for state-level construction planning projects and projects and large urban areas, and participated in the design consultancy of the construction projects. regional planning, general planning, urban system planning and population quarters, detailed planning of urban functional areas, making their small contribution to the overall achievements of the construction industry and urban areas in Vietnam. day by day more dignified, bigger and more beautiful.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
The Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association conducted the 2nd National Congress of Delegates on February 27 and 28, 2004 in Hanoi. Attending the Congress were 301 delegates nationwide. The congress was attended by Mr. Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan and representatives of Departments and Institutes under the Ministry, General Secretary – Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Vice Chairman Hanoi City People’s Committee, representatives of central agencies, Ministry of Home Affairs, People’s External Relations Committee and friends’ associations attended.

After only one term of organization, the Association has grown and developed rapidly in terms of the number of members and the grassroots Association. Has admitted 03 more member associations, 04 branches at professional agencies, universities and research institutes. Established 05 Institutes, Centers, affiliated companies and 01 Club. The total number of members of the Association nationwide until the second term is more than 2000 members.
