The role and meaning of the Award

Vietnam Urban Planning Award was abbreviation is VUPA, established by the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA) initiative, to enhance the position and role of construction planning and urban development management. This award also aims to honor organizations, individuals and businesses that have made outstanding contributions in the field of planning, urban development and rural residential areas in Vietnam.

2018 is the first year, Vietnam Urban Planning Award (VUPDA.2018) is held. This is a nationwide award, held every two years. On September 15, 2018, the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association released a press release on the 1st National Urban Planning Award, and launched organizations, individuals and units to respond. participate in the award.

The categories of VUPA 2018 include:

(1) Construction planning project, including: regional construction planning; Urban general planning; Zoning planning; Detailed planning; Urban design; Planning for specific functional areas and planning for rural residential areas;

(2) Areas that have been invested and built, including: New urban areas; Urban reconstruction or renovation; Roads and streets; Urban square- urban highlight; Tourist zones, clusters, economic zones, conservation areas… (successfully put into operation);

(3) Publications on Construction Planning, including: Books, Magazines; Series of articles; Video reportage / reasoning, criticism;

(4) Excellent urban development management: for organizations and individuals with exceptional achievements in the management, investment, construction and development of urban areas and rural residential areas. The Organizing Committee of the 1st National Urban Planning Award has received a lot of dossiers of projects, projects, publications and participating organizations and individuals nationwide.
