Founder of Vietnam Urban Day – November 8

Vietnam Urban Day
Under the direct direction of Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan, the Vietnam Urban Development Planning Association has coordinated with the Vietnam Association of Cities to submit a report to the Government, requesting the date of 8 November every year is “Vietnam Urban Day” starting from 2008.
On October 20, 2008, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed Decision No. 1519/QD-TTg agreeing to annually take November 8 as “Vietnam Urban Day” and organize it for the first time on November 8. 2008.
The common goal is to recognize and honor the role of urban planning, in order to create an urban community with a better and better life and sustainable urban development.
Since then, November 8 every year will be the official anniversary of Vietnam Cities, in order to encourage and attract the attention of all classes of people, urban authorities, architectural planners, urban development investors, experts and socio-professional organizations actively participate in urban construction and development, in the form of commending and rewarding organizations, individuals and urban areas. has excellent achievements in construction planning and urban management.
Young Planning Club
To create a useful playground, a place to exchange expertise for young planners, VUPDA has established “Young Planning Club” in Hanoi. The club organized activities with a variety of contents in the fields of planning, climate change and urban disaster response. The club also provides knowledge about building green cities, smart cities and learns about opportunities and challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 through members’ activities.

Đến nay câu lạc bộ đã có gần 600 hội viên là các kiến trúc sư trẻ, sinh viên Khoa  Quy hoạch của các trường Đại học Kiến trúc Hà Nội, Đại học xây dựng, Đại Học Phương Đông, Đại học Kinh tế – Kỹ thuật Công Nghiệp tham gia.
